SOLUTION
A custom Machine Guarding solution was designed and installed on a wood lathe.
This project involved installing Machine Guarding on a wood lathe in a secondary school technical classroom. The guard provides a physical barrier to prevent workpieces from being thrown from the machine while still allowing clear visibility of the work area through flat, rectangular panels.
The custom-designed guard was fitted to existing equipment and includes hinged front panels that can be easily raised for access, while remaining securely positioned during operation.
